Bethany Lenhart

Bethany Lenhart is on the National Board of Directors for the Cecchetti Council of America (CCA).


Bethany served as President of the CCA from 1995-2000 and 2016-2018. She held the office of vice-president, corresponding secretary, general board chairman of committees throughout the USA and liaison coordinator. She is a Fellow of the Cecchetti Council of America (CCA) holding the advance certification (FCCA). Ms. Lenhart studied with Lena Pelio from three years and beyond and with the CCA Coach for the Greater Flint Area, Enid Ricardeau of Detroit, MI. Ms. Lenhart furthered her training with Vincenzo Celli in New York as well as Madam Valentino Preyslavic, George Zorich, Stuart Sebastian, Robert Davis and Iacob Lascu. In 1999, as President of the CCA, she attended the Cecchetti Teachers Training Summer School at the University College Chichester in England where in 2005 she received the Sylvia Hamer/Margaret Marsh Scholarship. In 2017, again President of the CCA, she represented the CCA at the Cecchetti International Classical Ballet Competition in Florence, Italy. Ms. Lenhart has choregraphed for several regional dance companies in the USA and Canada. She traveled with the Saginaw Michigan Dance Company taking students to study in Spain, Africa, England, France, Russia, and Finland.



Bethany served as the President of the former Flint Ballet Theatre for 28 years bringing in many famous choreographers to teach and set ballet performances. Ms. Lenhart has also received the Children’s Champion Award.
